I finally get it...

I became a married woman on September 22, 2007….I also became a better photographer. Now i get it. I get why photos of your shoes are important. I get why you cry when you put your dress on. I get why you want your grandparents documented. I get how the day goes so fast that you can’t fathom how you fit everything in. I get why you wait anxiously for 4 weeks to see your proofs. I get why this is the BEST DAY OF YOUR LIFE and you want the very best photos.

All along, I knew weddings were special. I knew you planned and planned. I knew that people cry at weddings because it is the one event where God is most present….but it wasn’t until my own, that I could say, “I get it.” It all became a little clearer, and for my experience as a bride, I will never forget that this is the most important day of your life.

Lisa & Brad

I have photographed my fair share of weddings.....this union tops my list of LOVE. I so enjoyed photograping Brad & Lisa's TUESDAY afternoon wedding on Gull Lake. Yes, Tuesday. Brad and Lisa are PERFECT for each other. I don't think either of them stopped smiling the whole day. They just radiated. A boy, a girl, their dogs, their family & friends....that's all you really need to get married. Thanks Brad and Lisa for letting me step into your delightful ceremony and afternoon of love. The Westlunds

I've known the Westlund family for a little over a year now. New to the area, and looking for a job, Lori, owner of Once Upon a Page, a scrapbook store in Pequot Lakes hired me last fall and we soon became friends! Her store, http://www.onceuponapage.typepad.com/ is home to many new and unique scrapbook supplies. We took photos last Friday afternoon at Sibley Lakes Park in Pequot.

The Newest Branch on the Family Tree

I photographed this Breezy Point family earlier this month, as they welcomed a new baby to the family. There were some tears but I was happy to have created some nice images for this great crew. Thank you for welcoming me into your home and for the opportunity to meet your boys! I had a great time getting to know you!

I had so much fun with this Pequot Lakes Senior. We went to a beach on Upper Whitefish and battled the wind to take her senior photos. It's always so fun for me to work with high school seniors. They are always up for anything! I loved her outfits and enthusiasm! She was recently selected as "Art Student of the Month" Way to go Megan!
